In the framework of the activities carried on in Romania by Mondo Consulting & Training as partner in the project Bio Environment & New Millennium, on 27 September,  a seminar  was organized at UNIMED headquarters - placed in the building of UGIR-1903 (National Industrialist Employers Confederation from Romania). The project was launched on July, when the protocol with UNIMED was signed and a large article appeared

              in one of the most representative economic newspaper in Romania - Economistul

Seminar in Romania - 27 September 2000


That time the two managers of Mondo Consulting & Training gave interviews  and presented the project, the promoters, the partners and activities to be done in Romania and  promised that the first seminar will be delivered in September. The name of the article is:

"The relation Industry- Environment together with cooperation Enterprise - University, through Bio Environment & New Millennium"


UNIMED - the beneficiary organization, part of UGIR-1903 is also member of BENA (Balkan Environment Association) and in Romania is one of the most representative and active organization in the field of environment protection.

Mrs. Elena Laslu - Executive President of  UNIMED, President of BOW Romanian Branch, Vice President of  UGIR - 1903 and Manager Associate of AIM ltd. a company producing air filters for industry, opened the session. The participants were representative managers of industrial companies, all with preoccupation for environment protection. Mrs. Elena Laslu underlined the necessity of achieving European knowledge, EU legislation  and  of being in line with European procedures regarding environmental  protection. "Only working at European standards, applying standardized measures, our national products can compete on EU markets".


She expressed once again the thanks and interest of being beneficiary of a project as Bio Environment & New Millennium , which gave them the possibility to know the European preoccupation in the field, to train people at EU standards and meet other organizations via Internet.

"Enterprises from Romania will benefit from the European accumulated experience in this field which will be transferred through this project".


participate in modern training programs and for being connected  with the present fast evolution and modern concepts in order to take part to economic globalization.  The open learning method used in the framework of this  project should be seen as a dialogue tool but also as a chance to learn staying in front of your computer and acquiring an European certificate in environmental vocational training.


On the seminar occasion every participant received a map with the promotional material of the project, general presentation of modules, printed material of web page content in Romanian and leaflets.

Mr. Constantin Udrea presented the partners of the project, the promoter Action Synergy preoccupation in the field of environmental protection.  Then, he made a general presentation of all all manuals (Environment & Industry; Environment & Energy; Environment & Local Authorities and Environmental Responsibility), each step of the training program and the benefits for Romanian participants.


The seminar was an interactive one and all participants intervened, asked, put questions and storied personal experiences. It was the moment when Mr. Constantin Udrea told them about the possibility of having a section - group news - in Internet, where all participants and beneficiary of the project to have the possibility to write opinions, proposal, concerns, paper works and ideas in the field. " This project opens the possibility of global meetings in which the participants can discuss and exchange ideas about environmental issues"

The participants expressed the satisfaction that due to this interesting project they will exchange opinions, will be informed and most of all, even indirectly, will meet other companies which maybe could cooperate with.

Mr. Constantin Udrea informed about the initiative of the promoter to create in the project web page, a section where the beneficiaries and participants to be presented and to  express the wish of cooperation with            the other organizations and companies trained on  behave of the project. This section - told Mr. Udrea - will create the possibility to know  each other better and to be on the bases of further cooperation.

In their intervention the participants expressed interest in the project and the desire of having after finishing all the modules of training a certificate of trainer of trainers in order to  disseminate further the acquired information.                 


The same day a meeting with the General director of UGIR 1903, Mr. Stelian Dorobantu, took place.

UGIR 1903 has national reprezentation and has 42 Employers’ territorial Associations, 36 Employers Associations classified on fields of activity and more than 4000 companies. Mr. Stelian Dorobanţu  expressed the desire of disseminating the project results through members of UGIR 1903.
